Skin tags, or acrochordon, are small, benign growths that can start anywhere on the body. Common factors that contribute to these small flaps of skin include, but are not limited to:
* Age
* Hormone elevation due to pregnancy
* Repetitive friction, such as happens in the underarms
* Weight gain and/or obesity
Women with larger breasts are also more inclined to develop skin tags, although males and females are equally prone to having skin tags that require removal.
The Superfrecator 6800 uses a high frequency electrical current for effective skin tag removal. The high frequency electrical current delivers a spark to the skin tag through a micro-needle that desiccates the skin tag or skin growth and cauterizes the skin.
The skin tag removal procedure is minimally invasive; the micro-needle does not penetrate the skin at any point in the process and the cauterizations produce a natural, protective coating that promotes healing. The scab will fall off within a few days, revealing new skin and little to no indication that there was ever a skin tag.
Skin tag removal by the Superfrecator 6800 is permanent. However, if an individual is prone to skin tags, they may continue to appear in different areas of the body.
