3.Results You Can See

Eternal Youth Medical Spa puts you in control of your laser hair removal treatment. Our advantage is simple: you design the laser hair treatment that’s right for you. We offer a range of flexible services that can be tailored to your specific needs or budget:

It is the most advanced technology available for safe and effective hair removal. It works by setting a laser beam to a specific wavelength of light and targeting areas of skin where hair removal is desirable. The laser creates heat, which damages the hair follicle—preventing its ability to re-grow.

LightSheer™ Laser is used to reduce hair on any area of the body, including the face, neck, chest, back, bikini area, underarms, arms and legs. Heat is absolutely essential to tighten the collagen and stimulate new collagen growth. If you don’t feel the heat, the procedure is not working. Together, we will find a heat level you can tolerate to minimize discomfort and achieve optimal results.

To reduce the heat sensation, the tip has built-in cooling that is sprayed evenly over the surface of the skin. The hand-piece vibrates during the radiofrequency pulse, which is proven to reduce discomfort.

The length of each treatment varies depending on what area of the body is being treated. The procedure may last anywhere from fifteen minutes to an hour or more. Our physician will discuss with you the approximate time it will take for your treatment so that you can plan your schedule accordingly.

You may use cold compresses to help reduce the swelling, redness and discomfort of the treated area. Shaving is permissible as soon as the day after your treatment. In the areas treated, you will notice a shedding of hair during the week or two following your treatment. Protecting your skin from the sun is imperative after New Mexico laser hair removal. You should protect all exposed skin with a sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher every day.

Laser hair removal is available and effective for both men and women of any age and skin type, including those with Asian and African American skin. As long as the hair to be removed is pigmented brown or black, the LightSheer™ laser is highly effective. Since this technology targets pigment for effective hair removal, blonde and gray hair is not removed with the LightSheer™ laser.

Usually, patients have two to six treatments; each treatment is given every four to six weeks. Patients with darker skin types may require more treatments.

The LightSheer™ Laser is a safe and effective method of Albuquerque laser hair removal. The procedure is performed by a laser certified skin care specialist.

While the appearance of the skin after laser hair removal in Albuquerque varies from patient to patient, many patients experience redness and some swelling; this can cause minor discomfort that is similar to the sensation of a mild sunburn. Discomfort may last from an hour to a day. You may experience a shedding of hair in the treated area. Mild crusting may occur, but if it becomes extensive or forms a blister, you should contact your physician right away. Most patients resume their normal activities immediately after treatment.

Laser hair removal is safe on Asian and African American Skin because the LightSheer™ technology targets pigment, it is possible that skin color may be altered while hair is being removed. For this reason, we test two to three small, inconspicuous areas and wait one to two weeks to make sure there is no change in the pigmentation of your skin.

There are a few pre-treatment procedures that are necessary.

Skin must not be tanned

Cold sores must not be present (a prescription anti-viral will be given to you to be taken a day before your procedure and for a few days after your procedure)

Patients who use Accutane for the treatment of acne must be off their medication for 6 months to a year before undergoing New Mexico laser hair removal.

Complete hair removal is not always attainable. Most patients are satisfied the significant hair reduction they achieve through LightSheer™ laser treatments. The effects of the treatment are permanent, although a little touch up may be necessary from time to time.
